As a fashionista, I always manage to get samples.

I snagged a sample of Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I thought for sure it was going be too light but it’s so sheer and lush. I think this is a great one for fall/winter.

Now I’m off to do mommy stuff!

October contests preview…

One of my favorite seasons is Fall. From Indian Summer to the increasing crispness of the air, I am a happy fashionista.

Because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month I will be running a contest with brace yourselves… three prizes.

ATM: a black cosmetic case with drugstore cosmetics (Value: $50)

Gold: a Hello Kitty cosmetic case with natural cosmetics (Value: $75)

Platinum: a silver cosmetic case w/Sephora wonders (Value: $100)

The end of October will see the launch of the Chanukkah contest. The grand prize is the ultimate! Of course, I can’t tell you now.

I loved looking at everyone’s socks yesterday!

I think it’s lovely that our socks are so kind to us.

Women have a love/hate relationship with shoes. I love shoes but I hate shoe shopping.

Now handbag’s are a different story. I love handbags. I refuse to use the word “pocketbook.” I use “handbag” or “purse” instead. Every season, I tend to buy a new handbag.

Is your inner Joan screaming to show off?

Yes, ladies here’s some calm, cold, and composed looks from the 40s. Perfect for work; that PTA/Hadassah meeting; or brunch with your carpool comrades!

Just four pieces and you’re out the door: a cashmere sweater over a tie-neck blouse, a pencil skirt, and T-straps. I’m wool sensitive and I have to tell you that this look cuts down the itch factor.
