I got my package from Clockwork Couture today. The ridiculously long line at my local post office was worth the wait! Why write about it when I can do a youtube vid instead =)
I bought a “It ain’t ALL bustle…” t-shirt, $25, sizes L – 2X, Clockwork Couture Additionally, I purchased a Reticule of Rubbish for $16 ($3 went to breast cancer research.) I got the items in 6 days. I love their fast shipping.
My reticule just made building my Slowly nolita/steampunk wardrobe a whole lot easier.
This was just too cute for me to resist. (Please note the shirt is in junior sizing.) I think it’s a cute and casual nod to steampunk. Slowly but surely, I’m building my nolita/steampunk wardrobe. I want to start with pieces I can mix and match with my everyday clothing first.
For my birthday, I decided to treat myself to a full on steampunk outfit. I figure that I’m worth it!
The Geo Ultra Nudy circle lenses are ridiculously comfortable! Just got my two new pairs in the mail. I ran across a youtube giveaway contest for a pink Hello Kitty watch. OMG, it is very girly and very pretty! Anyway, I posted a mini-review of the Super Nudy pink lenses on the youtube as a response:
The color of the Nudy Pinks is stunning and the resulting color is not what one would expect! I really like how they look. For those who don’t know what Choward’s Violet is:
OMG, the lenses are super comfy to the point I don’t notice I have them on. I’ve caught myself nodding off with them on. Not good, lol! Waking up with lenses in your eyes is NOT my idea of fun. So whenever I am exhausted, they have to come out right away.
I’ve been wearing contacts since I was 17 years old. I have used many types of contacts from daily wear to colored contacts to disposable ones. So I have nearly two decades of experience with contacts.
That said, circle lenses come from Korea and Japan. The circle lenses are thicker than disposable ones and some daily wear ones. Also they cover more eye surface. So if you wear them improperly, then potentially you can deprive the eye of oxygen. You can say that about many contact lenses that are FDA approved. Unless the lens states that it’s oxygen permeable, then you run that risk.
You have to follow the basic rules of contact lens usage:
Clean hands = clean lenses
Always inspect the lenses for tears/defects
Make sure the lenses is not inside out
Have rewetting drops handy at all times
Never wear contacts for more than 6 – 8 hours on a daily basis (occasionally,10 – 12 hours)
Use eye cosmetics that are safe for contact lens wearers.
If your eyes begin to hurt, become red, or you see halo or starbursts: remove your lenses immediately and go see your optometrist.
now on to the review. I got these because I wanted to get dolled up for NY Comic-Con/Anime Festival coming up next month.
